MiS GDPR Consent

Yep... Another GDPR Email | Updates to our privacy policy

Hey MiS Fam,

NOTE:

This is not a marketing or promotional email.

It is a legal notice required to be sent to all MiS newsletter recipients, (even if you have opted out of our newsletter previously).

You have probably heard about the new General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") - you know those emails that have popped up from everything you've ever signed up for? Yep... those. Well, that went into effect May 25, 2018 (yes, we know we're a day late). The goal of GDPR is to "give control to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.”In order to comply with Europe's (yes we have members across the pond) new privacy laws (and honestly, it'll make it's way over here to the US REAL SOON), and in an effort to be more transparent with you, our community, about the data we collect, we've updated our privacy policy. We at MiS agree with the philosophy behind the GDPR - companies (we see you social platforms) should be transparent about what data they collect and why they collect it, and you should be in control of what happens with your personal data. To be clear, MiS has never shared our member's personal data with anyone without written consent. We hope that our content is useful to you. If you'd like to continue receiving the plug to free conferences and event passes, the plug to jobs in the sports industry, keys to success from our members and much more, please update your subscription settings. And for those who of you who just skim for the bright colors and highlights - again - here's our updated privacy policy.Thanks!-Shaina and Candice
